S.C. attorney general warns against ICE ‘mass resistance’
COLUMBIA, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson said any planned “mass resistance” to ICE operations will be met with “serious consequences”.
Wilson claims an organization is planning a meeting on Saturday, Feb. 8 with the stated goal of organizing a “mass resistance” and forming a “Community ICE Raid Response Network.”
While every South Carolinian has the constitutional right to peacefully assemble and express their views, Wilson said any efforts to obstruct or interfere with law enforcement will have serious consequences.

The Attorney General’s Office remains steadfast in its dedication to working with President Donald Trump and enforcing federal immigration laws without interference or obstruction.”

The attorney general stated recent events should serve as a reminder of the “dangers associated with unlawful resistance.”
Wilson said a demonstrator crashed a vehicle into a parked car and two people were injured during an anti-deportation protest in Greenville.
‘This reckless behavior, which showed a complete disregard for public safety, will not be tolerated. The Attorney General’s Office emphasizes that we cannot, and will not, allow any actions that threaten the safety of our communities, law enforcement officers, or innocent bystanders,” said Wilson.
Jackson 20-year-old charged in sexual conduct with minor
A man has been charged after being accused of criminal sexual conduct with a minor and providing drugs to them in Jackson, authorities said Thursday.

Wilson said he urges all parties involved to respect the legal process and act within the bounds of the law.
