1 person detained after gunfire at Augusta apartments
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a “suspicious situation” at an Augusta apartment complex, we learned on Tuesday.
On Tuesday around 2:55 pm, deputies say they responded to the 1500 block of 15th Street, Legacy at Walton Green Apartments to investigate a report of gunshots.
On they scene, deputies found shell casings and a car in a retention pond.

A shooting left one person injured in Wrens – something that’s not new to the town of less than 2,500 people that seems to have an oversized reputation for violent crime.
The investigation is still ongoing, and one person has been detained, according to the sheriff’s office.
This comes just one day after a shooting left one person injured in Wrens.
