The Lavonia Police Department shared photos showing that the van had plowed through the dining area of the restaurant, which is just off I-85 in Lavonia.
FEMA curbing some hurricane help, and Ossoff is not happy
The Federal Emergency Management Agency this week denied Georgia’s request for an extension of full federal financial assistance for hurricane recovery.
Police said the driver “had apparently suffered a medical emergency” before crashing, and was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
Police said there were no injuries and first responders worked to make sure the scene was safe.

The photos show that the van appears to belong to the Lavonia-based Reed Plumbing & Electric business.
