CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Chatham County police are looking for three people who they say held a woman at gunpoint and shot a man inside a Chatham County home.

The shocking attack was caught on a Ring doorbell camera. It happened around 7:50 Wednesday morning in the Cresthill Neighborhood.

The video shows a woman, with a dog in her hand, stepping onto her porch in the 1500 block of Adrian Court. Seconds later, she’s forced back in by three masked suspects with guns drawn. A child appears to be feet away in the kitchen when attackers enter. Chatham County police say the suspects shot a man inside and took items from the house.

Gail Sharpe is one of several long time neighbors now terrified by the incident.

“I just went in the house, shut my door, locked my door and didn’t open it,” said Sharpe. “I heard sirens. I got up and when I did, I saw five or six police cars.”

A spokesperson for the Chatham County Police Department says officers told nearby St. James Catholic School to go on lockdown after the shooting.

Police have not announced any arrests and say they do not believe this was a random attack.

The adult male was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Neighbors say the attack will force them to be more vigilant.

“I’m still scared about it. Several of us have lived here over 50 years and we were worried. All day, we didn’t know what was going on,” said Sharpe.

Police are actively working to identify the suspects and process evidence from the crime scene.
