Man arrested after allegedly striking 9-year-old in Evans
EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A man has been charged with cruelty to children in the first degree after allegedly striking a juvenile, according to arrest warrants obtained from the Columbia County Magistrate Court.
Ricky Krishan Lal, 35, was arrested on Tuesday, according to jail bookings.
Arrest warrants state that on Feb. 15, Lal struck a 9-year-old boy on the right eye with his palm.
Woman accused of shooting man after argument
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on Saturday.
This caused visible bruising to the boy’s orbital bone area and petechial hemorrhaging to his eye, the warrants state.
Arrest warrants say this incident occurred on the 400 block of Dorset Court.
Lal is charged with one count of cruelty to children in the first degree, according to jail bookings.
Bookings show Lal’s bond was set at $25,100.
