The roundabout intersection is at Georgia Highway 24/56 and Lovers Lane.

The construction contractor, Reeves Construction, built the new 2.1-mile roadway and roundabout with an original approved budget of $4.47 million, funded through the Transportation Investment Act.

A CSRA regional roundtable of civic leaders chose to include the truck route on its investment list of 84 total projects with the justification that the project would improve large commercial truck traffic efficiency and safety.
