Sen. Mitch McConnell announces he won’t seek reelection

WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell announced today on the Senate floor he will not seek reelection in 2026.

McConnell was the longest serving Senate party leader in U.S. history.
