AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - On Friday, the Augusta Partnership for Children hosted a fundraising event at the Augusta Shrine Club.

The charity soiree and silent auction had a “Harlem Nights” theme as guests helped raise money for the nonprofit.

The money was raised to help the organization take care of children and of the community.

This year, they are celebrating 40 years of service and want you to know you can help them out.

“We’re looking for interns. Always, we’re going to be looking for funds because there are so many needs that occur within the community that we don’t necessarily have grant funds to cover. And so having events like this or having donors is important,” said Executive Director Candice Hillman.

Organizers say they are looking for volunteers as well.
