“Just having diversity, spreading the word, spreading the knowledge, just showing that we are more than just the African culture, but letting everybody so that as far as music, it spreads throughout the generations in the community as far as music is for our soul. But the roots pretty much start with the African and American culture. But then we all come together with our ethnic ethnicities, with music. We all can come together and dance and fellowship together with that,” said Nicole Hillary, recreational program coordinator for the city of Aiken.

Hillary invites everyone from across the region to them next year.

The event was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets for the event were $29 in advance or $35 at the door.
