More details revealed in shooting that injured 16-year-old
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - We’re learning more about a shooting that injured a boy Sunday night.
Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called at 10:37 p.m. to the 1800 block of Cornell Drive to investigate a report of a shooting.

One person is in serious condition after being injured in a major car crash in Augusta.

Upon arrival, deputies found a male juvenile who’d suffered gunshot wounds to his lower body.
He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
According to an incident report released Wednesday, the victim was 16 years old. He suffered four gunshot wounds in his left leg, according to the report.
The report lists the offense as an aggravated assault, meaning it likely wasn’t being considered accidental. However, it didn’t go into further detail about the circumstances of the shooting.
The investigation is in its early stages and there is no additional information available at this time.
The incident comes amid an outbreak of violent crime that’s claimed about 200 lives in nearly three years across the CSRA.
