Ga. victim speaks out on attack by fake Amazon workers
SAVANNAH, Ga. - We’re hearing from George Hardison, also known as “Dirk” in the Savannah community, for the first time since he was attacked in his home by two men dressed as Amazon workers.
In January, he opened his front door to people dressed as Amazon workers. But they weren’t there to deliver a package. Instead, they invaded his home, beat him up and robbed him.
The Savannah Police Department has made at least one arrest in connection with the case.
Georgia police dog sniffs out suspect hiding in storm drain
Body camera footage shows Zade following the trail through the woods before coming across a large, cylindrical drain that a suspect was hiding in.

Over the weekend, dozens of people packed in Boomy’s Bar to him and his recovery following the tragedy.
There was an auction of donated items to raise money for Dirk.
Up for auction was an air fryer, a check, gift cards, a golf pack, and a little bit of everything.
It’s been 5 years since Arbery was murdered. What’s changed?
Ahmaud Arbery is a Black jogger with ties to the CSRA who was chased down and slain by white men who accused him of prowling in their neighborhood.
Dirk spoke about his experience and how he feels about the community being out.
His one word for us was “grateful.”
“Biggest takeaway from this whole incident is how strong Savannah’s community is and all the I’ve gotten and this is just, can’t be matched. I’m very grateful for the whole thing,” said Hardison.
