2 Barnwell County Detention Center employees arrested on contraband charges
BARNWELL, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two Barnwell County Detention Center employees have been arrested on unrelated contraband charges.
The sheriff’s office says it initiated an investigation leading to the arrest of Alissa Kneece of Williston, on Tuesday.

Kneece was a contracted employee for food services at the detention center, according to officials.
The sheriff’s office says Kneece was charged with six counts of contraband.
Kneece was transported to the jail to await bond, according to officials.
On Monday we learned a detention guard was arrested after he was accused of bringing contraband into the detention center.
Arrest made after Burke County fatal shooting of 30-year-old
The Burke County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting death, we learned Monday morning.

The Barnwell County Sheriff’s Office says it initiated an investigation into contraband at the detention center on Feb. 19.
The sheriff’s office says the investigation led to the arrest of Jamari Scott.

Scott was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute narcotics, contraband and misconduct in office, law enforcement says.
Scott was detained at the Barnwell County Detention Center until his bond is set, according to the sheriff’s office.
