GLOVERVILLE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A third child has died from injuries sustained in a home fire in Gloverville on Monday, according to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables.

On Thursday around 4:30 p.m., the coroner’s office says they responded to Doctors Hospital in Augusta to investigate the death of a Gloverville child following a residential fire.

The fire was initially reported on Monday at 12:50 a.m. at the victim’s home on the 200 block of Pine Street.

76-year-old dies after Aiken County traffic accident

Aiken County Coroner Darry Ables said Thursday that 76-year-old Paul Morse died as a result of a crash that happened at 12:16 p.m. Saturday at Pine Log Road and Piney Heights Road.

Four children and their mother were transported to Aiken Regional Medical Centers and Doctors Hospital, said Coroner Darryl Ables.

6-year-old Semerah Jordan was transported to Doctor’s Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries Thursday at 4:28 p.m.

8-year-old Deandolyn Jordan, was pronounced dead at 2 a.m. on Monday, according to Ables.

The mother and the fourth sibling received injuries that were not life-threatening.

Neighbors were left shocked by the initial news of the fire.

Teenager charged in Orangeburg murder of 48-year-old

A 17-year-old has been charged in connection to the deadly shooting of a man outside a store, according to the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety.

Not much remains of the brick home on Pine Street after it went up in flames Monday morning.

Neighbors said they assisted fire crews in trying to remove the children from the home.

Autopsies will be performed in Newberry to determine the cause of death. The coroner’s office along with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are continuing the investigation.
