Mediterranean fast casual chain Cava is coming to Evans
EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Growing fast-casual Mediterranean food chain Cava plans to open a location in the Evans area.
The company said it’s not able to confirm a location or exact time frame, but says the opening will take place “later this year.”

“We will ensure we reach back out when we have more details to share, and look forward to welcoming the Evans, GA community to our table,” a company spokesperson said.
VA, with a big Augusta presence, to lose 72,000 jobs in DOGE cuts
The Trump istration is planning to cut about 72,000 employees from the Department of Veterans Affairs, which has an Augusta-based health care hub.

The plans should be good news for fans of Zoës Kitchen, which used to have a location on Washington Riad in Augusta but has closed. That chain was purchased by CAVA.
