Ga. celebration of life, S.C. funeral set for late Angie Stone
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A Georgia celebration of life service and South Carolina funeral have been set for the late R&B singer Angie Stone next week.
On Friday, March 14, the celebration of life will be held at World of Faith Cathedral in Austell at 11 a.m. Attendees must online.

Carter Davis was gunned down in a random attack that sent fear through the suburbs north of Atlanta in the summer of 2016.

Stone’s funeral is scheduled for noon the next day at First Nazareth Baptist Church in her hometown of Columbia, South Carolina.
Stone, 63, was best known as a member of the hip-trio the Sequence and for her solo career. The Grammy-nominated artist and longtime metro Atlanta resident was killed in a crash in Montgomery, Alabama, on March 1.
In the wake of her death, the public and several celebrities have taken to social media to mourn — including some from Atlanta.

On Instagram, Tyler Perry said Stone’s music inspired him while he was writing “Straw,” an show on Netflix.
“I don’t know what’s going on with so many people leaving this planet, but what I do know is that death is a door that we all will face one day. And I pray that my life has touched folks the way she touched so many,” he wrote.
