S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster to speak at South by Southwest Festival
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Gov. Henry McMaster will be talking all things electric vehicles at the South by Southwest Festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
SXSW is a yearly film, digital, and music festival and conference that expands every year.
Some of the most interesting guests have included Grumpy Cat, WikiLeaks creator Julian Assange, who spoke remotely from his sanctuary, and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.
Georgia lawmakers consider lowering budget for school voucher program
On Monday, subcommittees presented their Fiscal Year 2026 budget proposal to the Georgia House Appropriations Committee.
On Tuesday, in a discussion sponsored by the car company Rivian, McMaster and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, a Democrat, will be talking about how the EV industry affects the economy, including jobs in their respective states.
This year, along with McMaster, actors Ben Affleck, Blake Lively, Kevin Bacon, and Seth Rogen will also appear at SXSW 25.
