Disney releases first full-length trailer of live-action ‘Lilo & Stitch’
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC/Gray News) - The wait is over for Disney fans to get a look at the live-action remake of “Lilo & Stitch.”
The official full-length trailer was released Wednesday, giving fans their first glimpse of the cast, including Maia Kealoha as Lilo.
Disney first announced it was developing the remake in 2018, 16 years after the original animated film hit theaters.
The live-action version of Stitch was first revealed at D23 on Aug. 9, 2024. He was later featured during an ad during Super Bowl LIX.
The original “Lilo & Stitch” was released in 2002 and made over $270 million at the worldwide box office on an $80 million budget.
“Lilo & Stitch” premieres in theaters on May 23.
