I-TEAM UPDATE: Burke County sheriff responds to sexual harassment allegations
WAYNESBORO, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - We have an update on an ongoing sexual harassment lawsuit against Burke County Sheriff Alfonzo Williams.
Your I-TEAM has learned the sheriff has responded to former sheriff’s office employee, Brenda Johnson’s allegations.

In the response letter from the sheriff, he denies that Johnson was discriminated or retaliated against based on sex, race or age.
He also denies that Johnson was subjected to any hostile work environment and that her termination was not based on discrimination or retaliation.
The sheriff also says that any allegations in the photos, text messages or other attached documents in the lawsuit are denied.
