COLUMBIA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Jets, beds, drinks and more are all vying to be crowned the coolest thing made in South Carolina.

The South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) is hosting their annual Coolest Thing Made in South Carolina competition, where the public votes for their favorite of four SC-made products.

The attorney representing a woman accused of sparking the Carolina Forest wildfire has come forward for the first time.

This year, the four finalists are:

  • 787 Dreamliner, a widebody enger jet manufactured by Boeing in North Charleston.
  • ClimateCool Smartbed, a bed that actively cools and adjusts to multiple sleepers manufactured by Sleep Number in Irmo.
  • High Noon Sun Sips, an alcoholic juice drink manufactured by Gallo Winery in Fort Lawn.
  • Ultra HD MicroCore SpiderWeb Ribbon Fiber Optic Cable, a connective cable that enables fast connection for media outlets manufactured by AFL in Duncan.

Last year, the Honda Talon 1000R-4 Fox Live Valve, created by American Honda Motor Co., Inc. in Timmonsville won the award and received commendation and a trophy from Gov. Henry McMaster.

The public can vote between these top four selections until March 20, when voting closes. The winner will then be announced on March 26.
