3 teenagers charged in pair of Denmark shootings
DENMARK, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged three teenagers in connection with two shootings in Denmark.
The suspects are:
- Michael Leon Kearse, Jr., 17, charged with five counts of attempted murder, two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
- Tavion Ramontre James, 17, charged with five counts of attempted murder and two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
- Cedric Jaiden Walker, 17, charged with accessory after the fact to attempted murder.

On Dec. 6, SLED’s assistance was requested by the Denmark Police Department in connection with a shooting at the McDonald’s at 18128 Heritage Highway, according to arrest warrants. Authorities said in arrest warrants that they learned Kearse was the suspect in this shooting, which injured two people.
After responding to the McDonald’s, authorities learned a Chevrolet Impala had been struck by bullets at Carolina Highway and Progressive Way. James was identified as the suspect in that shooting, according to arrest warrants.

All three teens were booked into the Bamberg County Detention Center.
