Motorcycle crash slows traffic on Washington Road

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office was on the scene of a motorcycle crash on Wednesday evening.
The crash involved a motorcycle and a sedan, according to the sheriff’s office.
Law enforcement tells us the call came in at 7:49 p.m. at the intersection of Washington Road and Berckmans Road.
City unveils traffic plans as it makes final preparations for Masters
On Wednesday, the city unveiled the traffic plan for tournament week.
Our crews on the scene say law enforcement began directing traffic and that only one lane in both directions was open.
Around 8:20 p.m. our crews say an ambulance appeared to leave the scene.
We have reached out to learn more on the condition of those involved.
The scene was clear by 9 p.m.
