New Chick Fil-A in Augusta draws crowd, traffic
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Chick Fil-A fans lined up Thursday morning for the grand opening of a relocated store.
The new location is at Wheeler Road and Robert C. Daniel Parkway, the site of the old O’Charley’s. The new store replaces one that was at the other end of Robert C. Daniel.
Augusta reveals traffic plans for Masters Tournament
The big change this year is the rideshare lot moving to where the old TGI Fridays used to be on Washington Road.

As early as 10:30 a.m., guests were lining up at the multiple drive-thru lanes amid drizzle.
An Augusta native, local owner-operator Kenny Hanna has spent 18 years serving his hometown. Hanna is excited to continue serving the community at his new restaurant, featuring a multi-lane drive-thru, a playground and other upgrades to enhance the experience.
“I’m super excited about the easy access of in and out and being able to get in and get out quicker to get back to the office,” said Alicia Kight, the first customer.
Augusta ranked among worst places to live with allergies
According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, more than 100 million Americans live with seasonal allergies.

Features of the newly designed restaurant include:
- Playground: The restaurant will feature a spacious playground to best serve guests with children.
- Multi-lane drive-thru: Increased number of lanes in the drive-thru to accommodate additional vehicles and improve speed of service.
- A fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru where guests can pick up orders placed ahead of time on the Chick-fil-A app.
- 120 full- and part-time jobs: Chick-fil-A Augusta Exchange will staff 120 team with employment benefits that include competitive pay, health care benefits, personal and professional growth opportunities, access to the Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Scholarships and more.
The store opened at 10:30 a.m.
Its normal hours will be 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
