Blackhorse Steel Works to create 40 jobs in Bamberg County

DENMARK, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Bamberg County officials say Blackhorse Steel Works is launching operations in Bamberg County, creating 40 jobs.

Blackhorse works with steel for industrial and commercial projects, including cutting, welding, bending, forming and precision processing.

It’s investing $5.2 million in the 107,000-square-foot facility at 19110 Heritage Highway in Denmark.

The location, which is expected to begin operations in May 2025, will host the fabrication of miscellaneous and structural steel components. Interested job applicants should apply through the Indeed job website.

Additionally, a $150,000 Rural Infrastructure Fund Grant from the Coordinating Council for Economic Development will assist with building improvement costs.

Denmark Mayor Harold Johnson said he is appreciative.
