SAFETY ALERT: Watch out for this suspect in Augusta’s latest slaying
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 35-year-old man is wanted in connection with a shooting that left a person dead on Wednesday, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say Donnell Mitchell is wanted for a murder that occurred on the 1900 block of Dabney Drive.
Mitchell should be considered armed and dangerous, according to deputies.

He is described as 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds.

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office says A’kki Pauley, 28, of Augusta, was killed in the shooting.
The coroner’s office says Pauley was shot at least one time while sitting in a vehicle.
Man takes accidental selfie on S.C. stolen trail camera
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said it is looking for a suspect who snapped an accidental selfie while stealing a trail camera.

Pauley was taken to the hospital by private and was pronounced dead at 11:34 a.m.
Also injured in the shooting was a man who was found in the 1800 block of Cooney Circle and taken to a hospital.
The shooting happened amid a surge in violent crime that’s claimed about 200 lives across the CSRA in the past three years.
Communities large and small have been affected, but as the largest city in the region, Augusta has been hit especially hard.
