WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - More fallout Tuesday, after a reporter was accidentally included in a top-level group chat about sensitive war plans in Yemen.

This as President Donald Trump assures no heads will roll as a result of the error.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, on the defense as reporters met him at the plane arrived at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

“a deceitful and highly discredited so-called journalist. Nobody was texting war plans”

Screenshots from the chat on Signal prove otherwise.

The Atlantic editor-in-chief and long-time national security journalist Jeffrey Goldberg says he was included on the chat, but didn’t believe the contents, until the bombings began in Yemen.

Trump cabinet spent Tuesday doing damage control. Senator Mark Warner (D-Virginia) is the ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

“Did you participate in a group chat with secretary of Defense and other Trump senior officials discussing the Yemen war plans?”

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard demurred when questioned.

“Senator, I don’t want to get into this.”

Senator Warner: Ma’am, did you were you on? You’re not going to be willing to do that. So you’re not. Are you denying that? Well, you answered my question, ma’am. You were not TG on this group chat?

DNI Director Gabbard: I’m not going to get into the specifics.

Senator Warner: You refused to acknowledge whether you were on this group chat.

DNI Director Gabbard: There was no classified material that was shared.

Former Pentagon Spokesperson Chris Meagher calls the mistake a dereliction of duty.

“Completely sloppy and incompetent behavior up and up and on the board by people who are supposed to be leading our country.”

Meanwhile, Senator Warner is leading Democrats in demanding ability.

“If this was the case of a military officer or an intelligence officer and they had this kind of behavior, they would be fired.”

Late Tuesday, top ranking Democrat Representative Hakeem Jeffries called for the immediate firing of Pete Hegseth, sending a letter to President Donald Trump.

In it, he writes quote, “His behavior shocks the conscience, risked American lives and likely violated the law.”
