Man wanted for questioning in connection to 2024 Dollar General death

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man wanted for questioning in connection with a homicide outside a Dollar General in Augusta.

Randall Johnson, 43, is wanted for questioning in connection to the death of 28-year-old Elias Delk in June of 2024.

Johnson is 6 feet 1 inch and 150 pounds. He is known to frequent the Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard neighborhood.

Also wanted for questioning were Dennis Stephens, 39, and Freddie Romper Jr., 42, who were both interviewed and released on Tuesday.

Jermaine Ramsey and Freddie Smith were also questioned in connection to the case. They were interviewed on Wednesday.

Authorities have already made two arrests in connection to the murder.

On July 19, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Creston Curry on Sherman Street in Augusta. Curry, 37, was wanted on charges of murder and armed robbery in the slaying of Elias Jkhael Delk, 28.

Curry was also wanted on unrelated outstanding warrants, according to deputies.

Arrested Thursday in connection with the killing was Tamiko Shynese Bolton, 36.

A witness had stated Bolton and others struck Delk with their fist, feet and a stick, causing hematomas to the scalp and face, broken ribs that punctured his left lung, according to an arrest warrant for Bolton.

Delk was murdered June 15 around 4:30 a.m. at 1710 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

He’s among more than 170 people who’ve been killed in an outbreak of violent crime that’s swept the CSRA from 2023-2024. Communities large and small on both sides of the Savannah River have been affected.
