Local Ronald McDonald House receives furniture donation

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta received a donation on Thursday of four recliners for families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta received a donation on Thursday of four recliners for families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House.

The donations are part of a partnership with La-Z-Boy.

North Augusta officials break ground on ‘The Hive’

The Hive in North Augusta is now one step closer to being a reality.

We spoke with the CEO and President of the Ronald McDonald House Charities about the donation.

“We want them to not just be able to be close to their child, but really to remove all stress from them, so the only thing they need to worry about is the care of their child. So having quality furniture provided by La-Z-Boy goes a long way to keeping families comfortable, but also to show families how much love and is coming from our community here in the CSRA,” said Dr. David Jacobsen.
