Columbia County Cultural Festival allows community to come together
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Saturday was a day full of learning experiences in Columbia County.
Leaders say the culture festival is a chance to bring people of different nationalities together to learn from one another and celebrate each other.
Nations from China to Lebanon to Scotland were represented with performances all day.
Local group calls for an end to gun violence
One local group is calling on the community to put down the firearms.

The event organizers say it’s important for people to see different world views.
“Yeah, no, division is a human construct, but I see that we’re all the same,” says Charles Casiano, co-owner of Venezuela Signature. “We just have views, and we had different cultures, and we had different things, but that doesn’t make us different from you. You’re still human as well. Just have a different point of view. And this shows that even though we’re different, we can still have common grounds and love each other and learn and even actually when we see other cultures we learn, and we grow.”
If you missed out this year the organizers are hoping to do this again next year.
