Deputies looking for men considered to be armed and dangerous

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects involved in an attempted armed robbery and aggravated assault.

According to the report, deputies responded to the 3700 block of Wheeler Road on Saturday in reference to an attempted armed robbery.

When they arrived, officers say they learned two suspect walked up to the victim and demanded his chain while showing handguns. The victim refused and fled.

On Friday, an Augusta man was shot twice in his driveway. The victim said that three men had been tearing up his driveway riding motorcycles and a four-wheeler.

The sheriff’s office says the suspects chased after the victim and fired shots.

There were no injuries reports, according to deputies.

Investigators say they were able to obtain still images of the suspects from a nearby business.

Both suspects are known to frequent the area of Spicewood Drive and should be considered armed and dangerous, according to deputies.

Anyone who comes into with the two subjects or has any further information on the crime is asked to Investigator Terry Bale at 706-821-1454.
