Ready for Easter weekend? Here’s some events happening in our area

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - With Easter just around the corner, you may be wanting to check out some local events for your family to enjoy.
- On April 18, Columbia County Parks and Recreation is holding the 3rd annual Eggstra Special Easter Event. This event is designed for children of all ages with special needs to enjoy a festive and inclusive Easter celebration. The event will take place at 1055, Market Street in Evans from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- On April 19, the CSRA Regional Educational Service Agency, located at 4683 Augusta Highway SE in Dearing, will host an Easter Event. The event is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. There will be eggs, activities, music and a photo booth for pre-k through 5th grade.
- On April 19, the Warren Road Community Center, located at 268 Warren Road, will host a free Easter Egg Hunt from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. 10,000 eggs will be up for grabs. In between hunts, your family could have fun exploring bounce houses, train rides, food trucks and vendors.
- On April 19, The Salvation Army Kroc Center will host an Easter Eggstravaganza from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Kids ages 2-12 can dive into the pool for a floating egg hunt, enjoy Easter-themed arts and crafts, bounce houses, games and an egg drop competition. Tickets are $10 per child for guests and $7 per child for .
- On April 19, there will a helicopter egg drop at Believer’s First Baptist Church in Wrens. The event will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. It will also include food, Kona ice, inflatables and giveaways.
- On April 19, We Got This Augusta, Inc. is hosting a sensory friendly Easter event for kids with special needs. It will be held at the Henry Brigham Community Center from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will also be bounce houses, face painting, a photo booth and superheroes.
