More than 33K Ford Escapes and Bronco Sports recalled for fire risks

(Gray News) – Ford has issued a recall on more than 33,000 vehicles for the potential of a fire sparking in the engine.
According to the recall posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety istration, a fuel injector in the recalled vehicles may crack and leak fuel inside the engine compartment.
A fuel leak near an ignition source like a hot engine or exhaust components can increase the risk of a fire.
The recall involves 2020-2022 Escape and 2021-2023 Bronco Sport vehicles.
Owners may Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 25S21. Dealers will update the necessary software free of charge.
