S.C. Forestry Commission charges 3 in connection to Table Rock fire
PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The SC Forestry Commission has arrested three suspects on charges related to the Table Rock wildfire.
Tristan William Tyler, 18, Isaac David Wilson, 18, and Nyzaire Jah-Neiz Marsh, 19, are charged with arson, negligently allowing fire to spread to lands of another.
The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office said first responders noticed a rapidly growing wildfire while searching for a missing hiker on March 21.

The search group located and evacuated seven hikers, several of which were questioned about how the fire started.
Three adults and one minor were then taken to the C. David Stone Law Enforcement Center in Pickens for further questioning.
SCFC investigators and detectives with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office later gathered evidence that identified the suspects as part of the fire’s origin, officials said.
According to arrest warrants, the suspects were smoking on a hiking trail and did not extinguish their cigarettes in a proper and safe way.
NWS surveys Monday’s storm damage in rural CSRA counties
On Tuesday, officials from the National Weather Service went to Edgefield County to survey the damage from Monday’s storms.

Officials said the juvenile suspect was also charged with negligently allowing fire to spread to lands of another but was not booked. They were released into the custody of their parents.
A magistrate set a $7,500 bond for each adult suspect.
Tyler, Wilson and Marsh paid their bonds and were released from the Pickens County Detention Center.
If guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction, the sentencing for these charges are imprisonment for no less than five days and no more than 30 days or to being no less than $25 and no more than $200.
