‘He can’t hide’: Cops hunt suspect in Orangeburg County party shooting
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Investigators with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office have identified a man who fired into a crowded gathering Saturday.
The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Sincere Gibbs, 18, of Sumter.
Deputies were called out to a location on Five Chop Road where seven partygoers were injured by gunfire.
Gibbs is wanted on seven counts of attempted murder, three counts of instigating a riot with a weapon, one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and one count of aggravated breach of peace.
“He can run, but he can’t hide,” said Sheriff Leroy Ravenell during a press conference.

Megha Ganne had a dream she would go low in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, and she turned it into reality in the first round.

According to an incident report, deputies arrived at the scene and were told a large group of people was running from inside the location.
Deputies said they were told there was a shooting and looked around the left side of the incident location to look for an active shooter.
A shooting victim was found, the incident report stated, in the back parking lot.
Deputies met with other victims at the hospital, most of whom were shot in the lower leg.
Three victims who met with deputies in the hospital said they were trampled over while running away.
“He knows the system, and doesn’t care anything about the system,” said Ravenell.

Gibbs is currently out on bond for an armed robbery that took place in Sumter, according to the sheriff’s office.
He disabled his ankle monitor on March 12 and is considered to be extremely dangerous and armed with a weapon.
During the press conference, Ravenell stated they have reason to believe that Gibbs came to Orangeburg with the intent to cause harm, but so far, they haven’t been able to specify who he was looking to harm.
Ravenell wouldn’t say where they believe Gibbs is currently, but says he has strong reason to believe the department is close to making an arrest.
“He’s not going to rest. I’m not going to rest,” said Ravenell. “My people are not going to rest. And he definitely can’t rest until he goes to jail. He can run, but he can’t hide.”
The shooting is still under investigation.
