ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Earlier in the week, TSA officials predicted record-breaking travel numbers on Friday at Atlanta’s airport — and it turns out they were right.

The Transportation Security istration screened 111,624 engers at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Friday.

TSA Southeast said most of the engers are traveling for spring break, which is at the end of March or the beginning of April for most school systems.

The airport is expected to stay busy throughout the weekend, with an estimated enger volume of at least 100,000 per day. Officials recommend arriving at least two or two and a half hours early for your flight.
