Thousands gather on National Mall as part of nationwide anti-Trump protest

WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - People gathered across all 50 states and in the nation’s capital Saturday to make their feelings known about President Donald Trump and his istration.
Known as the “Hands Off!” rallies, thousands gathered on the National Mall in Washington. They had a simple message, they’re not happy with the Trump istration and its policies ranging from mass firing of federal workers, to immigration, to attacks on the LGBTQ+ community and more.
“It’s important for us to be here to show that we stand for the rule of law and the importance of giving due process for all Americans and fairness to people in the United States whether they were born here or not. We think its important to maintain the checks and balances in the American government,” said Irving Mintzer, a protester from Maryland.
Organizers said in total, there were more than 1,200 “Hands Off!” rallies across the United States.
