AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - With it being tournament week, a lot of people are visiting from all over.

Finding Solutions: Date set for 3rd annual Augusta Duck Dash

It’s time to get ready for the 3rd annual Augusta Duck Dash!

They are open all week long and encourage you to come learn about the city’s rich history as well as expand your golf knowledge.

They have two golf galleries where visitors are able to learn about the evolution of the sport as well as some well-known golfers.

There are also exhibits on some local legends like James Brown.

The museum is offering scavenger hunts this week for golf fans as well as some for both adults and kids as a fun way to learn more about Augusta’s history.

Finding Solutions: Women Build program set to build 14th home

They’re a part of Habitat for Humanity and since 2005, a large group of female volunteers have been constructing homes for families.

“There’s a lot of history here,’ said Krystal Lyon, education manager at the Augusta Museum of History. “Evolutionary battles happened here, and a huge amount happened during the civil rights movement here, so to know all the details about your history makes you love your city more, makes your respect your city more, and tells people about your city.”

The museum is located on Reynolds Street and is open this week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
