Aiken County almost done with Hurricane Helene debris cleanup

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Aiken County has announced the county is hoping to have all debris from Hurricane Helene picked up by Monday.

County-owned roads should have all storm debris cleaned up by April 14 along with root ball collection should be completed by that time, according to the County .

Collection centers will continue to grind debris and haul it away, which should be completed by the end of April.

While the deadline to have storm-related debris by the roadway was in early January, the county is urging people to call the Hurricane Helene Debris Hotline if there is a special circumstance where another needs to be made.
