AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Calm conditions will continue this evening and overnight. Morning lows in the mid-40s are possible Thursday morning. Rain will move through late Thursday night into early Friday morning. Windy Friday as the front pushes through with gusts near 30 mph. Dry weekend ahead with temperatures slightly cooler than average.

Chilly start Thursday morning in the mid-40s. Thursday afternoon will be mostly sunny with a few clouds and high temperatures reaching the upper 70s. Getting breezier in the afternoon with wind out of the southwest between 10-15 mph, higher gusts possible.

Showers and storms will move in Thursday evening through Friday morning as our next front pushes through the region. Rain chances Friday are mainly for the morning hours, only isolated showers possible in the afternoon. Highs Friday will be in the low 70s. It will be windy Friday with winds out of the west between 15-20 mph and gusts 25-30 mph.

Looking dry for the weekend with morning lows in the mid-40s and afternoon highs near 70°. By Monday of next week we can anticipate high temperatures to climb back into the 80s! Keep it here for updates!
