AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Topgolf is a popular place to be with golf being the theme of this week.

Whether patrons don’t have a for the course that day, or they’re just leaving and looking to continue the fun, there’s plenty for them to do here that’s related to the sport.

Tournament week is always a busy one for our restaurants and local businesses, but over at Topgolf, Manager Sean Frantom says they’re breaking records.

Topgolf says it hit its highest record of customers this week since it opened for business in 2020.

As the week goes on, Frantom says he expects numbers to continue to soar, and the party is just getting started.

If golf isn’t your thing, there are new games to try out like bton, skeeball, and cornhole.

“We have live music Wednesday through Sunday. And then we have a lot of yard games this year that we didn’t have in the past. We have our nine-hole mini golf for $5, that is always a hit for people,” said Sean Frantom, manager of sales & engagement, Topgolf.

But Topgolf isn’t the only place you can swing a club.

Local businesses see visitors from across the world during golf week

Businesses say this week is economically impactful as more people come into town for golf, especially after Hurricane Helene hit the area.

Across town on Davis Road, The Back Nine just opened and they don’t have a closing time.

“The Back Nine is your golf indoor experience. It’s simulator golf, so like TGL, Tiger’s new golf league that we’re seeing on TV. That’s exactly what this is. And it’s a chance for people locally to hit balls on the simulator, work on their game or play 18 holes,” said Will Durrett, The Back Nine.

There’s no better time to enjoy some live music and golf than this week.

You can enjoy live music from Wednesday at 7 p.m. until Sunday at 10 p.m.
