AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Thousands of children in Georgia don’t have a family to call their own.

News 12 has begun a partnership with the nonprofit Grant Me Hope, which works to find homes for older children in the foster care system.

Today, we want to introduce you to 3 teenagers who are looking for a loving family that will provide them with the attention, and encouragement for their ongoing therapeutic needs.

“My name is Mecciah, and I’m 12.”

“I’m My’Asia and I’m 13.”

“I’m Ty’Quavian, and I’m 13.

We paid a visit to a few of the more than 30 golf courses in our area.

These three teenagers are full of life, bringing joy and energy wherever they go. When they’re together, the room comes alive with laughter and excitement.

They share a strong bond, but each has their own unique spark, making their connection truly special.

“I enjoy sports—baseball, football,” said Mecciah.

“I like to dance, sometimes play sports, and joke around with people,” said My’Asia.

“I like to play games. I guess I could play a little bit of sports,” said Ty’Quavian.

“When I grow up, I want to be a baseball player,” said Mecciah.

“I want to be a doctor,” said My’Asia.

“I want to be a YouTuber,” said Ty’Quavian.

Local girl sells paintings to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital

A third grader is helping give back to the Saint Jude Children’s Hospital with some golf-themed artwork.

“My favorite food is ribs,” said Mecciah.

“My favorite food is wings and fries‚” said My’Asia.

“My favorite food is Moe’s‚” said Ty’Quavian.

“My favorite time of year is summer break‚” said Ty’Quavian.

“Probably summer break—my birthday!‚” said My’Asia.

“My favorite time of the year is winter,” said Mecciah.

These three close-knit relatives bring fun wherever they go. Each is unique, yet together, they make an unstoppable team.

Their bond is strong, and their love for each other is undeniable.

Red Carpet Tour returns to Georgia, eyes new investments in Augusta

On Thursday, the famous Red Carpet Tour returned to Georgia for the 63rd year, making a stop at the Augusta National Golf Club.

“If I could change anything in the world, it would be school,” said Mecciah.

“If I could change anything in the world, it would be separation‚” said My’Asia.

“If I could change something in the world, it would be that people could get what they need for free‚” said Ty’Quavian.

One thing is clear—these kids want to stay together.

Their family bond is strong, and their connection is unbreakable. Being placed as a unit is important to them, as they thrive when they have each other.
