McCormick County Schools put on lockdown after student brought loaded gun

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - McCormick County Schools were on modified lockdown on Friday.
Troopers seek tips on car in deadly Orangeburg County hit and run
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is asking the public to provide information on the second of two cars possibly involved in a hit and run that killed a cyclist in Orangeburg County.
According to Superintendent Dr. Jaime Hembree, a student was detained for having a loaded gun to campus.
“The student has been removed from our campus and there is no threat or danger to any of our students or staff ,” said Hembree.
