Many viewers are now “churning” their subscriptions—bouncing between services to save money and catch up on their watch lists. But with so many options like Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Disney+, and Max, the question remains: which one truly has the best movie selection? Let’s dive in.
First, let’s talk quantity. If sheer numbers are your thing, Amazon Prime Video takes the crown with a staggering 20,000+ movies. Netflix follows with over 6,000, Hulu has around 3,000, and Max offers just under 2,000. But quantity doesn’t always equal quality.

Using an app like “Just Watch,” which aggregates data from various streaming platforms and movie review sites like Rotten Tomatoes, we can see which services offer the most highly-rated movies. When we look at movies with a score of 80 or higher on Rotten Tomatoes, the landscape changes dramatically.

However, it’s important to acknowledge that “quality” is subjective. What one person considers a great movie, another might not.
