GBI investigates deadly shooting of 42-year-old in Thomson
THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating a deadly shooting in McDuffie County.
The McDuffie County Coroner’s Office says Mario Clemons, of Thomson, was shot on Sunday night on Ridgeview Drive.
The GBI says McDuffie County deputies and EMS were dispatched to the 1800 block of Ridgeview Drive around 9 p.m., in reference to a shooting.
When deputies and EMS arrived on scene, Clemons was found dead behind the home with one gunshot wound, investigators say.
The coroner’s office says it arrived on scene around 9:15 p.m.
Clemons was pronounced dead at 9:46 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.
The GBI says no suspects have been identified or arrested at this time.
2-year-old dead after being shot in southeast Atlanta apartment, police say
Police say their investigation showed that the incident happened inside an apartment at 100 Bell St. SE.
An autopsy has been schedule.
The GBI says the investigation is ongoing.
