AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The man accused of killing two co-workers and injuring another amid a shooting spree at a Newton County Walmart has died, according to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office.
The coroner’s office says Dwayne Eduh, 24, died Sunday at 4:12 p.m. at Wellstar MCG from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after a standoff with law enforcement with Aiken County deputies and South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers on Friday.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday in Newberry, according to the coroner’s office.
Aiken County deputies were called in to assist which means this isn’t their case, so they don’t have a lot of information.

“So apparently he kicked the door, and he made it upstairs and he kicked my bed, and she ran in my room. He closed the bedroom door. Akila closed the bedroom door, and he shot through the bedroom door, and then he kicked in my bedroom door that opened up, and he applied about 7 to 8 shots in front of me,” said Samantha Clarke, one of the victim’s mother.
