Georgia students rally against visa revocations at Emory University
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Metro Atlanta students are speaking out against student visa revocations on local campuses.
On Monday, a group gathered at Emory University, which is one of many schools across the nation where international students have been impacted as President Donald Trump’s istration continues to crack down on immigration.
“I was incredibly disappointed and sad to see this attack happen on the Emory community, but was not surprised these attacks have happened on many other universities,” Zachary Hammond, a student organizer, said.

Officials said four Emory community had their student visas terminated by ICE. Three of them are Emory alumni doing post-grad training, and one is a current student.
The school said its International Student and Scholar Services office discovered on Tuesday that the four people’s records in ICE’s Student and Exchange Visitor Information System had been terminated.
Emory said it has reached out to the individuals to provide . But student activists said ICE has no place on their campus.

“The Trump istration is attacking campus protests everywhere because the student movement exists at all college campuses,” Hammond said.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said no one is entitled to a student visa.
Organizers say another rally is planned for Tuesday at Georgia State University.
