Grant Me Hope: Meet Shaidale
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Thousands of children in Georgia don’t have a family to call their own.
News 12 has begun a partnership with the nonprofit Grant Me Hope, which works to find homes for older children in the foster care system.
Today we want to introduce you to Shaidale, who’s 16.
He loves meeting new people and trying new foods.
“I love to hang around with grown ups, not kids,” he said. “They have a better mentality. When they talk, they know what they’re talking about.”
He works at Dollar Tree and is trying to get a second job.
“I work five or ten hours a day on a weekend,” he says. “I’m trying to get a second job, work after school. Probably work at Food Depot or McDonald’s again.”
