Man arrested after allegedly cutting off 3 kittens’ tails
GREEN, Ohio (WOIO/Gray News) - A man was arrested after allegedly cutting off the tails of three kittens.

According to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Bret Stalnaker, 57, threw a container of the kitten tails at a woman during a dispute.
Deputies said they were called after Stalnaker got into an argument with a female resident on Friday.
After the argument, Stalnaker sent the victim texts allegedly saying he was going to cut off the tails of the newborn kittens and their mother, according to the release.
Later that day, Stalnaker returned and threw a container at the victim. The container held the tails of three kittens, according to police.
When deputies arrived, Stalnaker was in his van. Stalnaker complied with the deputies’ commands, got out of his van and threw his .45 caliber pistol to the deputies, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
Stalnaker was arrested and charged with one count of felonious animal cruelty.
The kittens were taken to a vet where they are recovering.
