SPCA Thrift Store raises funds for animal care

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The SPCA Thrift Store held a spring party — Paws and Petals — benefiting the Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare.

Those that went were able to buy new merchandise and the non-profit’s mission of helping homeless and neglected animals.

Aiken businesses see faces new and old during golf week

Golf festivities have wrapped up for the CSRA and area businesses saw Amp the Alley and other events bring solid traffic over the last week.

“This generous community, no matter what through and through, they’re all about the animals and stuff like that,” Thom Tate, the retail manager for the PSCA Thrift Store, says. “We have very generous donors and very generous customers.”

He also said the store provides a third of the income for the SPCA.

It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The store is not open on Sunday.
