Evans High School teacher arrested on DUI charge
EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - An Evans High School teacher has been arrested on a DUI charge, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Jeremy Gantt was arrested on April 13 on charges of driving under the influence/less safe and a headlight charge, according to law enforcement.
According to the incident report from the Georgia Department of Public Safety, troopers pulled Gantt over because he allegedly did not have any lights on.
The report states the incident happened at 8:29 p.m. on I-20 westbound near Exit 199.
Troopers say Gantt had bloodshot eyes, and that they could “immediately smell the strong odor of an unknown alcoholic coming from his vehicle.”
Aiken massage parlor employees arrested on prostitution charges
Two employees at an Aiken massage parlor have been arrested on prostitution charges, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.

Gantt failed multiple parts of the field sobriety test and refused to be breathalyzed, according to the trooper.
The report states Gantt told troopers he was returning from being a hospitality driver for golf week.
A spokesperson with the Columbia County School System tells us that Gantt is still employed with the school and has not been placed on istrative leave.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Georgia State Patrol was the arresting agency for this incident.
