Name released for 32-year-old found dead in wooded area on McNutt Road
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Authorities now know the name of the person whose body was found in a wooded area on McNutt Road on Thursday morning.
The Richmond County Coroner’s Office said Friday the body was identified as Devon Laroyce Shade, 32 of Augusta.
The coroner’s office says it responded to the 2100 block of McNutt Road in reference to a suspicious death.
The body has been in the wooded area for several days, according to Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen.
Autopsy results are still pending.
New details on Aiken massage parlor raid that led to prostitution charges
Two employees at an Aiken massage parlor have been arrested on prostitution charges, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.
The death comes amid a surge in violent crime that’s claimed about 200 lives across the CSRA in the past three years.
Communities large and small have been affected, but as the largest city in the region, Augusta has been hit especially hard.
